Have you used Groupon before? In case you aren’t familiar, Groupon is a type of online coupon. Basically, you go to their website and find your location. In my case, it is San Diego. Once you sign up, you get a daily email telling you about a deal. It could be for just about anything…restaurants, spas, activities…and the deals help you save 50-90%!

| Using my Groupons is going to be so much fun! |
I have found a few restaurants I want to try and now have Groupons for them. $9 for $20 of food? Sign me up! My best Groupon so far is for a signature facial at a spa in Carlsbad. With the Groupon, I get a $130 facial for $65 dollars! That is a deal for me considering my plans once I get home involve lots of time at spas…which can be expensive.
Groupons are good for six months to a year, depending on the deal. Since you pay upfront, you have to be pretty aware of those expiration dates so you don’t lose the money you already put in. Once I moved to Washington, D.C., I will be changing my emails to reflect and I am sure I will be introduced to a lot of interesting things that I wouldn’t have found on my own.
